This is all you need to connect your Onwa 0183 chart plotter to an NMEA installation. Data conversion can be in both directions
NMEA0183 to NMEA2000
NMEA200 to NMEA0183
These brilliant devices convert data from one format to the other, as an example:
Send 0183 data from your Onwa plotter, e.g. AIS, GPS, Pilot to other equipment running on an NMEA2000 backbone and 2000 data back to the plotter.
All our KC-2W units have the addition of a wi-fi module as standard so data can also be transferred via wi fi to other equipment e.g. send AIS to your phone, tablet or PC running Open CPN, Navionics or C-map to superimpose AIS targets onto the other devices chart – this is a really excellent way to have AIS added to the chart download on your phone.
