This is designed to be used with KM and KP1299 plotters with sounder. Intended for professional fishing industry and specialist user-hence the high cost. For leisure users a 600 Watt is usually sufficient.
Intended for thru-hull installation although in-hull is usually possible in GRP boats – call our support number, 01357 680054, if you need any advice on in-hull fitting.
For thru-hull installation this transducer is best for: Wood and GRP hulls.
installed in a metal hull – attention has to be paid to any direct contact between the transducer bronze body and the metal hull as galvanic corrosion is very likely if there is metal to metal contact. For a metal hull ensure insulation is fitted or consider one of the rubber 1000 watt transducers
