ATS? – for anyone planning a trip using European inland waterways and canals ATIS is a legal requirement – this VHF has it. Somewhat similar to AIS it is an automated system that transmits your boat details and is used by lock keepers and waterway authorities to identify vessels.

NOTE……this is not AIS equipped, this VHF does not receive AIS transmissions.
